I tried both Claude and ChatGPT paid versions for a few months. Ultimately, I keep the Claude subscription and use free ChatGPT whenever the query requires access to online search or file formats that Claude doesn't support.

I made this choice mainly because I used Claude to correct my writing; I find ChatGPT failed because it consistently returns a shorter version of text compared to my draft... as everyone put it, ChatGPT is lazy.

However, it is probably up to the purpose of the usage.
